Burleigh Bites was born from the coming together of two very different worlds — the warmth, flavour, and soul of Brazil, and the laid-back, get-it-done drive of Aotearoa New Zealand. Different cultures, same love of good food, good people, and a good time.
The recipes are Brazilian at heart, with Mediterranean and Middle Eastern soul. The drive is Kiwi. And the result is something that feels right at home on the Gold Coast.

Brazil is home to one of the largest Lebanese communities outside Lebanon. Over generations, those bold, generous Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavours — the kibbeh, the hummus, the freshly baked esfihas — became woven into everyday Brazilian cooking.
That's the food Chef Chris grew up with. Food shaped by two cultures, built on community, and made to be shared around a table with people you love. Every platter we make carries that history — the generosity, the spice, the care.
